True Domain
This is a domain using
a name of your choice (yourname.com) This domain is assigned
its own IP# and is not an alias of another IP.
Disk Storage
We give a very generous
amount of Web space. Typically, for every 5000 files, you will
use about 100 megabytes of Web storage.
Daily Traffic Allowance
The traffic allowance
provided per domain is typically much more than a normal user
would need. Our serves can accommodate tens of thousands of
users per day, however, if you exceed your traffic allowance,
you will have to purchase additional bandwidth. Also, please
refer to our policies for limitation on certain file protocols.
E-mail Forwarding
You will be able to
specify 200 or 1000 different e-mail addresses (depending on
your account) in a simple text file and have them each redirected
to an e-mail account of your choice.
Unlimited E-mail Alias
We automatically
capture any e-mail that may be sent to your domain name, and
redirect it to your default mail box. This means that, as
long as the @yourdomain.com is proper, all e-mails (including
typos) will be captured and forwarded (and not refused). You
may also set up aliases, which are e-mail addresses that will
be forwarded to the e-mail account of your choice.
FTP/POP
By default with each
domain, the main login includes ftp and a pop mailbox.
POP accounts
This is a private
storage box for e-mail. It would be accessed by a 3rd party
e-mail program like eudora, or netscape. Please note that you
cannot store more than 12 megabytes of e-mail on the e-mail
server, and e-mail file sizes are limited to 1.5 megabytes per
e-mail.
Autoresponders
These are simple text
files you place in your domain in a folder called infobots.
When e-mail is sent to your domain with the name of one of these
files, the file is automatically returned to the sender of the
e-mail
Wusage 6.0
This is a very powerful
tool for tracking visitors to your site. You will have access
to raw Web logs, but in addition to providing the raw logs,
we provide a easy to use Web interface which interprets your
site logs. With Wusage, you can easily see how many visitors
that you had to your site, from where your visitors came, which
Web pages they visited on your site, what browser your visitors
used and so on.
Majordomo
This is a very flexible
tool for interacting with your customers or clients. In simple
terms, it's an interactive style newsletter that allows all
subscribers to distribute information. There are many configurable
features including automatic subscribe and unsubscribe and much
more. Each list can e-mail up to 1500 e-mails per day, if you
would like to increase the limit e-mail us for pricing.
Referrer Logs
This is a extended
logging features that will document from where each visitor
to your site came. For example, you will know which search engine
is sending you visitors or which Web site is linking to your
site and sending you traffic. This is invaluable information
when you are planning your site's marketing strategy.
Access to Secure server
Secure server access
is provided on all accounts. We use SSL encryption to provide
a secure link between your users and our Apache Web server.
Customizable Missing Docs page
By placing a file
in your main directory called missing.html you will be able
to give a customized page to any viewer that requests a Web
page that does not exist.
Server Side Includes
SSI, or Server side
includes, allow the server to parse special page commands. For
example, if you had a footer you wanted on all your pages that
may change from time to time, you can create a text file with
the desired footer and place it in your domain. On each page,
you put a simple include to read that file and place it at the
bottom of the desired pages.
Frontpage 2000
This is Microsoft's
Web editor. Frontpage requires that we install special extensions
on the Web server so that you may upload your Web pages with
a click of a button.
Subscribable Maillists
A maillist will
allow your customers to send an e-mail to a special e-mail
address so that they will be automatically subscribed to your
e-mail newsletter, announcements or periodic mailings. Our
Plusmail Web system is capable of multiple lists. A lists
can hold up to 1000 e-mail addresses, and your e-mails can
be up to 75k in file size.
PlusMail WebControl System
This is our proprietary, web-based administration system, which
allows you to handle all aspects of administering your account.
For example, you can add/edit your e-mail redirects, mailing
lists, subscribable e-mail lists and autoresponders. You can
also change read, write or executable permissions on any of
the files or directories in your WWW directory. In short, our
PlusMail system automates account management.
